Today, I made my yearly pilgramage to Mayfield Lavender Farm in Banstead; 25 acres of perfect purple, alive with the hum of bees and the most beautiful scent. The fields speak for themselves and are the perfect backdrop for porait photography, but today I took a few different props along to experiment with, including a mirror and a picture frame. I was delighted with the results and that’s what I love most of all about shooting outdoors – the creativity that Mother Nature inspires is just not what you’d be able to generate within the sterile confines of a studio.
