FAQs

Your Shoot

Your photo shoot will last around 1 hour. Where babies and children are concerned, I know that things may not always go as envisaged so an impromptu nap or tantrum is budgeted for!

If things really don’t go to plan from the offset, whether down to the weather or whatever, we may decide to reschedule to another day.

Occasions

So many options! Here are just a few reasons you might want to book  a photoshoot: family shoot, engagement, birthday celebration, anniversary, pre / post-wedding, bump shoot, new baby, professional headshots, celebrating weight loss, retirement, reunion, friends, prom, christening, gift.

What to Wear

I always recommend something that you are comfortable in – be it wellies and jeans or diamonds and heels! Bold patterns and slogans are best avoided.

Who, what, where, when?

Before your shoot, have a think about the following:

Who are your photos for? Who will be in them?

What ‘feel’ would you like your photos to have? What groupings would you like captured?

Where would you like your photos to be taken? Where will your photos be displayed?

When would you like your photos taken – a particular season, anniversary or time of day?

What to bring…

A change of clothes and a few accessories could be on the cards or perhaps a rug or blanket to sit on. A coat or umbrella can make a great prop on grey days. For little ones you may want to consider bubbles, favourite toys, books or a ball.

What no studio?

Out and About Photography celebrates the amazing world around us by using it as the perfect backdrop for your photos. In doing so, we will achieve a natural set of pictures that tell a story about the day itself.

When choosing your outdoor location anything is possible: a favourite spot usually works best but woods full of bluebells, forests of autumn leaves, a local playground, a nearby beach, a cool urban location, a favourite park, a city backdrop or even your very own back garden are all great options.

Once our shoot is finished I will then prepare your photos for you back at base in Surrey.

What else?

I am also available as an outdoor photographer for both formal and informal events  where I specialise in ‘reportage’ style photos that will really capture your guests at their very best – often without them knowing it!

When will I see me again?

Your photos will usually be available within 7 days of your shoot. You will receive password protected link to 2 sets of photos. The first will be the ‘favourites’ and the second set will be the ‘nearlies’; the nearly, but not quites that you will still very likely want to see.

Can you print it? Yes I can!

As well as the digital photos, you can order copies of your favourites to be professionally printed through Out & About Photography. Please note, I supply the prints only. It’s then down to you to choose to your perfect frame.

You may also want to order a CD of your favourite photographs. Once you have received your initial link, you can choose from 10 /20 / 30 / 40 / 50 high resolution jpeg images.
